Description Growing manufacturing organization in Torrington is in search for a Purchasing and Planning Specialist to add to the team. This is a permanent position and an immediate need as the company continues to grow this year. The organization has a tight knit culture, strong tenure, and family feel environment! Responsibilities include: - Purchasing functions and supplier management including generating RFQs, maintaining vendors, monitoring performance, identifying new opportunities - Planning and Scheduling - Inventory Control and Management - Assisting with process improvement/ MRP planning - Help identify inefficiencies and implement LEAN manufacturing improvements The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in procurement and inventory management, ability to be hands on and handle all supply chain coordination/functions preferably in a manufacturing environment or relatable field. Excellent communication and technical skills- proficient in MRP/ERP. Salary is dependent on experience and offers a robust benefits package.
