PURCHASING AND INVENTORY SPECIALIST

 
Who is a Purchasing and Inventory Specialist?
The Purchasing and Inventory Specialist is responsible for purchasing and maintaining inventory levels related to fitness equipment, replacement parts, amenity items, Audio Visual equipment, furniture items and general facility needs.  The Purchasing and Inventory Specialist is focused on the end to end purchasing process from initial quotation through to the coordination of logistics delivery and vendor management.

 


What will you be doing?

Process requestions from various departments such as Service Technicians, Club Management, Club Design and Special projectsResearches, identifies and compares suppliersAnalyzes requests to determine warranty and/or negotiated discountCommunicates between supplier and requester by providing order support and logistics of deliverySupports Service Technician and Warehouse Staff with technician documents and escalationsOversees club requisitions for specialty items
Works with Management teams to understand forecasting needsKnowledgeable with supply lead times and logisticsResponsible for generating and updating Inventory review for various warehousesSupports Warehouse with faulty product and discrepanciesManages a variety of reports to correct requisitionsEffectively communicates expectations relating to timelines, freight and billingManages pricing and/contracts and updates database accordinglyCoordinates recall/proactive repair work alongside vendorEstablish and maintain professional working relationships with vendorsMaintaining records of all transactions, purchase orders, receipts, and payments.Works alongside Accounting team to ensure goods have been received and charges coincide with purchase order

High School Diploma or College/University or applicable training3 plus years proven success in purchasing role
