As a Purchasing Agent III, you'll support the Supply Management organization through Category, Agreement, and Performance Management of our Suppliers. You’ll be utilizing your skills and expertise to purchase materials, supplies, and services on the most favorable terms for the organization. You'll be responsible for helping to qualify our suppliers, monitoring and ensuring our supplier quality and delivery, evaluating bids, negotiating prices and terms for purchased goods and services, tracking purchases, and maintaining a current database of our supplier information. Additionally, you'll provide subject matter expertise on complex procurements of significant dollar value, as well as independently manage multiple service type contracts. You'll help with the planning of the process for the purchasing function, and support programs. Your primary role is to ensure supplier performance to SNC and its missions, meeting supplier delivery, quality, service, cost and technical requirements through the entire purchase order lifecycle. You may support the identification and development of current and new suppliers to support Category goals, as well as monitoring, measuring and reporting supplier(s) progress. It will be important to contract appropriately, ensuring SNC protection and obligating suppliers to clearly specified requirements. You are responsible for what you buy, from whom and the corresponding results. As a Purchasing Agent, you will work to reduce the cost and increase the value of using the SNC supply base over time. You are the leader of a given procurement, and you represent your internal teammates who have communicated this requirement.
