Description We are currently recruiting a Purchasing Agent for our team based in Goleta, California, United States. As a Purchasing Agent, your role will be to provide administrative support, primarily in processing purchase orders and contracts. You will be expected to use comprehensive software applications and interpret purchasing documents accurately. Responsibilities: • Handle and track mail items, including sorting, delivering, and ensuring preparation of bulk mail • Update project information in the Purchasing Database through document content translation, scanning, filing, and attaching documents to digital project files • Review purchasing requisitions and accompanying documents to verify compliance with departmental requirements and legal standards • Use ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and other accounting software systems effectively for purchasing processes • Assist in tracking critical documents or packages, and handling certified mail • Use strong computer skills to adapt to new software and tools quickly for effective purchasing processes • Show ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment • Use detail-oriented written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
