POSITION SUMMARY
A project engineer is responsible for the engineering and technical disciplines needed to complete a project on-site. The project engineer works to plan projects, establish project criteria, coordinate project reviews, and ensure the proper implementation of the project on-site.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring of assigned engineering projects Performing quality control tasks on budgets, schedules, plans, and personnel performance and reporting on the project's status Ensure the alignment with Plant Operation to avoid disruption on operations when executing project engineering initiatives Give visibility and report the status of the different projects (safety, quality, service, timing, budget, objectives achievement) to be consolidated within Project Engineering. Interact with vendors to make sure there is alignment in schedules, plans and budget of the project. Other duties as assigned

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or four (4) years equivalent experience One (1) year experience in project management
 

License/Certifications

Project management certification preferred

 

Preferred Qualifications

Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish reading, writing & speaking.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES (KSA’s)

Strong attention to detail, data accuracy and an inquisitiveness to determine explanations, with an ability to consolidate multiple sources of analyses into a cohesive recommendation. Proficient with Microsoft office, including skills with Outlook, Word and Excel Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure, meet deadlines, present a professional demeanor and work well independently and within a team environment Organization skills, including the ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects to meet various deadlines in a fast-paced environment while presenting a professional demeanor

 

ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS

Able to travel up to 80% of the time, including overnight stays May work remotely
 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Usual office and/or environment with frequent sitting, walking, and standing, and occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing
Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling the use of office and/or plant machinery/equipment
Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices such as the telephone
Noise level in the work environment range from normal office levels to loud levels due to equipment and/or machinery use
Ability to standing for long periods of time
