Responsibilities

Saint John Hospital is looking for an exceptional per diem, variable shift Public Safety/Security Officer to join our Security team.  The Safety/Security Officer duties include, but are not limited to:

performs security services, including electronic surveillance, systematic manual Security Officers’ rounds, and functions of PBXcoordinates facility response to various potential problems for patients, employees, and visitorsenforces policy & procedure, ensuring equitable enforcementfollows guidelines and perpetual monitoring techniques, towards establishing a safe workplace for employees and a safe environment of careparticipates in employee awareness and educationdriving as needed for company businessother duties as assigned Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

High School Diploma or Equivalent, requiredcertification from IAHSS (International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety), preferredvalid driver’s license upon hire and maintained currentexperience in healthcare security or related field, preferredcurrent DMV report
