Join our client, a financial services firm, and collaborate with their innovative marketing team as a temporary Public Relations Specialist for 6 months. About the Job:
* Identify opportunities for interviews with targeted broadcast outlets and exclusive stories at major news outlets.
* Draft media pitches and press releases.
* Promote content to targeted media.
* Maintain strong relationships with key outlets, journalists, influencers, etc.
* Support profile raising and media relations through other tasks or responsibilities as required.
About You:
* 3+ years of media relations experience.
* Bachelor's degree in public relations, journalism, or a related field required.
* Recently carried out the tactics of PR/comms strategy for your organization.
* Self-starter with a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
* Ability to translate complex topics into simple messages.
* Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work with all levels of stakeholders.
About the Position:
* $44/hr-$53hr, depending on experience
* Temporary for 6 months.
* Starting early 2025.
* Hybrid with 4 days/week onsite.
* Office in Arlington, VA.
