As a Public Relations Officer (PRO) - Qatar, your job duties include staying current on existing and proposed legislation in Qatar, building good relations with relevant government officials, and updating management on relevant laws and regulations.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Coordinating on all matters related to Government Relations for Baker Hughes in Qatar
Supporting all government-related transactions for both expatriate and national employees including employment visas, labor contracts, civil ids, security passes and Social Security registrations.
Ensuring application of Business Visas, Residence Visas, Single/Multiple Entry Visas, Re- Entry Visas etc.
Assisting the employees for the renewal of family Resident permit
Dealing with confidential and sensitive files of employees in companies
Handling the renewal of company CR, signatory card, trade license and other government related documents & license required by the company
Ensuring timely attestation of labor contracts, degree certificates and any other documents required
Having a clear understanding of all Labor Laws and Regulations in Qatar
Coordinating with Product Lines and Administration for daily requests to support the operations of the business.
Handling the needs of a large number of employees (and company contractors), maintaining good contacts and rapport with the relevant local and federal government authorities / departments.
Being well versed with the continually changing labor laws, government policies and procedures
Coordinating with HR and Immigration team for end of service process of employees
Handling activities including but not limited to visa, medical, security clearance formalities for staff
Organizing visas for business related travel as required

To be successful in this role you will:
Have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
Have 4+ years of experience in a Government Relations/Administration role in Qatar
Have solid experience and understanding of Qatari Labor laws and regulations
Be very fluent in written & spoken English & Arabic
Have proficiency in MS Office applications (word, excel, MS outlook, internet).
Have proficiency in all online Government applications
Show the ability to multi-task effectively and balance priorities in an ever changing, fast-moving, time-sensitive environment
Be able to anticipate needs and make judgement calls within your area of expertise and responsibility
Be a proactive, motivated self-starter, maintaining discipline and focus in managing long term initiatives without close supervision
