Dr. Laura Johnson in the School of Social Work, College of Public Health seeks a part-time (10 hours per week) research assistant (RA) to support research projects focused on the economic empowerment of intimate partner violence survivors and the advocates that serve them. The research assistant will assist with qualitative data collection and analysis, support basic quantitative data analysis, and assist with the development of research reports and presentations for academic, community, and policy audiences.

The position will be for a period of one year with the possibility of renewal. 

Essential functions\:  
•Working with the PI to facilitate the research activities across different projects;
•Assist with qualitative data collection and analysis; 
•Support analysis of quantitative survey data;
•Recruiting and reviewing study logistics with participants;
•Assist with the development of research reports and presentations for academic, community, and policy audiences;
•Administrative tasks; 
Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience\: A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and a minimum of six months of experience are required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. 


Required skills and abilities\:
* Prior experience with behavioral studies involving human subjects
* Prior experience de-identifying audio recorded interviews
* Data entry experience
* Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications
* Must have strong written and oral communication skills
* Must have strong organizational skills
* Excellent time management skills
* Must be attentive to detail and adhere to deadlines

Preferred\: 
* Master’s degree or higher
* Some knowledge of research on intimate partner violence

This position requires a background check.
This is a grant-funded position

This position is temporarily assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
