Job Summary: The licensed psychologist position provides high quality of care to a diverse high acuity, outpatient population of children, adolescents and families in Upstate’s Child and Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Services (CAIOS) program. The program is expanding to provide intensive services to adolescents struggling with eating disorders and providing intensive services to families with younger children with severe emotional and behavioral dysregulation. The program utilizes evidence-based treatments (DBT, ACT and FBT). The full-time clinician will conduct psychological assessments, individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy and parent coaching. The psychologist will provide consultation and coordination of care with schools and outside providers as needed. The Psychologist will contribute to the teaching and supervision of trainees in Child Psychiatry and Psychology. Psychologist will attend yearly hospital-required performance evaluations and will maintain Continuing Education credits. The psychologist will work closely within a multi-disciplinary, multi-department setting that includes psychiatrist, psychologist, clinical social workers, pediatricians, nutritionist, and nursing. Candidate must excel in providing patient centered care to support the patient’s recovery. DBT, ACT and FBT experience preferred. Training and supervision can be provided. Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. or Psy.D. and NYS license (or eligible) Psychologist required but must receive license within 1 year of employment. Excellent clinical, consultative and written/oral communication skills required. Preferred Qualifications: Training and experience working with adolescents with eating disorders.
