Understands product vision and business needs to define product requirements and product architectural solutions. To be effective in this role, the person will need to apply architecture principles to the whole portfolio and collaborate successfully with Product Line Managers, Product Owners, external vendors and cross functional and technical teams. Architect will work across multiple teams using Azure Technology, Vendor applications (i.e., Vendavo, PROS, Anaplan), Salesforce for Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud (Communities), etc. to deliver a set of business capabilities as technical services. **Responsibilities** + Working with engineers on multiple teams to architecting and delivering solutions within the Sales & Product Management Digital Platform - Sales, Profit & Commercial Management Product Line + Managing multiple initiatives / small teams + Be an influential leader, manage and develop the technical competencies, providing guidance on projects / programs within the product line + Advocate solid software development best practices in the team covering testing, modularity, scalability, observability, and integration + Seen as a technical lead, coaches software engineers and builds engineering discipline – code reviews etc + Engages in hands on coding to help the team develop common services that can be used across multiple products + Oversees the modernization and migration of applications to cloud. Coaches and guides the teams on continuous integration and automated deployment for product + Maintain and communicate external IT dependencies while ensuring that external stakeholders are delivering against commitments **Qualifications** + Technical Depth: Demonstrated deep understanding of the methods, processes and appropriate software engineering frameworks. Demonstrated experience in all phases of Software Development Lifecycle (plan, design, develop, test, release, maintain and support, decommission). Has deep knowledge of multiple programming languages, how to apply them and can easily articulate their strengths and weaknesses. Familiarity with the automated DevOps processes such as Jenkins and Azure DevOps (ADO), and code quality tools like SonarCube, HP Fortify. Experience with Azure platform and services like Web Apps, Function Apps, App Gateway, IoT Hub, Event Hubs, Azure Service Bus, Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, Blob Storage and APIM. Demonstrated strong understanding of Public cloud service offerings (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS services as well product offerings from Azure). Demonstrated application of systems thinking and strategic thinking skills. Ability to capture the key elements of a system into a simple abstraction that empowers good decisions. Experienced working within a Scrum team using SAFe methodology + Business Acumen: Demonstrated strong understanding of Oil & Gas value chain and associated business processes (specifically in the sales, retail, and customer service areas is preferred). Demonstrates financial literacy and ability to understand processes related to reporting, budgeting, forecasting and other financial processes + Leadership Influence: Demonstrated ability to work with leaders in both the IT Function and the business to understand business strategies and shape technology roadmaps to support those strategies. Demonstrated ability to negotiate, influence without authority and is highly collaborative. Demonstrated ability to work in ambiguous settings and drive clarity and alignment across business & IT stakeholders.
