Position Summary:                                                     

The Prototype Foundry Tech will work within the production environment producing turbine blades and vane segments for the aerospace industry. This position will operate equipment, tools and instruments to make world-class engine parts in an extremely precise, technical environment. This position will also work both in a team environment and individually.

Essential Functions:                                                   

Follow standard procedures for producing ceramic slurry.Prepare wax clusters for dipping.Dip assembled clusters of parts.Process molds through dewax, fire, and clean and capOperate equipment for the production of parts.Communicate with maintenance and place work orders as neededUnderstanding of mold making conceptsAbility to understand and learn ceramic slurry chemistryControl and maintain ceramic slurriesOther duties as assigned.

 

Required Skills:                                                          

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations and priorities. Must be computer proficient with AQCS, basic excel, word, outlook Good communication skills, written and verbal. Good interpersonal skills. Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure Ability to take lead / ownership of entire mold area Take ownership of the entire mold area of the 6S program

Experience & Education
