Description:The Propulsion Center is subset of the Delivery Operations Team and supports the Pratt & Whitney F135 and Rolls Royce Lift System receipt, build-up, and delivery to the Final Assembly Team. The Propulsion Center also supports the entire Propulsion System of the F-35 through delivery to the customer.
This position requires a highly motivated and organized individual with a continuous improvement mindset, who is able to apply analytics to understand key process drivers and integrate across teams to drive implementation of solutions, including providing information that enables quick and accurate decision making for execution teams and leadership.
Selected candidate will be responsible for:
• Tracking and driving to completion special projects for the Propulsion Center
• Being the first line of support for any maintenance or troubleshooting issues that arise during the F-35 Production process.
• Working across several areas of specialty from on-aircraft maintenance to ALIS Software File creation. Occasional supervision of the team’s represented workforce.
• Handing out assignments and monitoring task completion of the team’s daily goals and should also have strong conflict management skills.
This position requires the capability to learn and become a source of knowledge for Production, Quality and Military/Civilian customer representatives for the Propulsion System.
Candidates should have sound interpersonal skills as they will be interacting with other teams and will be a direct representative of the Propulsion Center.
Additional tasks for this position include:
• Supporting metrics reporting
• Propulsion system component configuration management
• Participate in integration meetings and forums
• Represent Propulsion Center to other departments and organizations
• Maintaining project status and forecasts for various Propulsion Center activities
Basic Qualifications:
- Engine MRO/Maintenance experience
- F135 maintenance experience
- Flight Line experience
- Experienced in writing Action Requests
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- ALIS suite of applications experience
- Experience with 6S implementation/processes
- Prior leadership/supervisor experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work with varying levels of management across multiple organizations
