Job Description

Allied Universal® is hiring a Proposal Development Manager. The Proposal Development Manager oversees Requests for Proposal (RFPs), primarily focusing on rebids with current customers, ensuring the creation of high-quality materials aligned with the retention strategy. The Proposal Development Manager will collaborate closely with regional specialists and stakeholders, manage project timelines, assign responsibilities, and ensure all deliverables meet deadlines. The role involves authoring, proofreading, and editing content for consistency, clarity, and compliance with solicitation requirements. Additionally, the Proposal Development Manager contributes to the content library and may assist with new customer RFP responses.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Review and interpret Requests for Proposal (RFP) and technical responses; evaluate requirements to ensure compliance with the customer’s needsWrite, edit, and review proposal content, ensuring high quality, persuasiveness, and alignment with the retention strategyCollaborate closely with retention specialists and account owners to maintain consistency in proposals and adherence to established proposal development processesCreate initial drafts, assign tasks, and manage work distribution across team members in various geographical locations and time zonesDevelop new content for proposals, enhancing the shared content libraryPerform thorough quality checks and coordinate internal reviews of proposal documents to ensure accuracy and complianceManage project timelines and deadlines, ensuring that all deliverables are completed on time and meet required standardsCoordinate and participate in meetings with key stakeholders, including Regional Vice Presidents, General Managers, and subject matter experts, to gather necessary input for proposalsEnsure all content is well-written, clear, and relevant, while maintaining compliance with solicitation requirementsContinuously improve proposal processes by implementing best practices and lessons learned from previous projectsResearch industry trends and incorporate relevant information into proposal content to enhance competitivenessUtilize project management tools and software to track progress, manage resources, and report on the status of proposals

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

Must possess one of the following:Bachelor’s degree in Management, Marketing, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related fieldAssociate’s degree in Management, Marketing, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field with a minimum of three (3) years of work experience managing or supporting the proposal development processHigh school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of five (5) years of work experience managing or supporting the proposal development processMinimum of three (3) years of experience authoring, editing, and developing impactful content and material, preferably with a focus on the development of sales-related materialsMinimum three (3) years sales experience and/or operational support in administration and project managementExceptional writing and editing abilities with a strong command of grammar and meticulous attention to detailStrong organizational, problem solving and prioritization skillsProject management expertise with proven ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously while consistently meeting strict deadlinesStrong planning and reporting skillsPossess excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as follow-up skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

Experience working with proposal software systems (Loopio, RFPIO, SmartDocs)Experience working with content management systems (Seismic, Highspot)
