Kimley-Horn is looking for a Property Accounting Analyst to join our corporate Finance and Accounting team in our Raleigh, NC office. This is an in-office position.

Responsibilities

We are seeking an individual with strong attention to detail who will work with our Lead Property Accountant as the company’s liaison with our third-party lease administrator, landlords, and internal stakeholders.

Review monthly rent register for accuracy and coding, then submit for paymentAnalyze CAM, operating expenses, annual percent rent and tenant improvement reconciliations; investigate and resolve issues in a timely mannerReview and properly interpret lease language to support administration of the leaseInitiate dispute for suspected billing errorsCommunicate externally with landlord and third-party administrators and internally with various teamsPrepare and post straight-line rentCreate and track real estate projects in the accounting system and assist project managers with accounting on construction projectsMaintain security deposit, prepaid rent, deferred rent, lease termination, and lease incentive accrual schedulesPrepare ad hoc requests and analysis, including annual business plan support and monthly expense projectionsPrepare financial statementsProvide support for other staff accounting tasks/functions

 

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting or other relevant major2+ years of high-volume Lease Analyst/Property/Real Estate/Lease Administration accounting experience or similarKnowledge of accounting principles and proceduresAbility to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced environmentAbility to prioritize tasks and handle multiple assignments concurrentlyStrong time management and attention to detailAbility to analyze processes or problems and suggest improvements or resolutionsExceptional client service mentality and work ethicExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsIntermediate level proficiency in ExcelExperience with Deltek Costpoint Accounting Software a plusRequired travel: 2-3 trips per year Why Kimley-Horn?
