Primary Responsibilities

The Promotional Demand Planner is responsible for supporting the promotional forecasting process executed through the Connect Order Management and Advanced Order Management systems. This role provides functional and in-depth support  of the promotional forecasting process and systems to enable seamless and efficient executing of these processes. Additionally, this role supports the RPA and PowerApps applications that support the promotional forecasting process.

Essential Functions

DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Drive results towards company and demand specific KPIs (outbound fill rate, promotional execution, inventory turnover, and spoils).Works closely with cross functional groups including Replenishment, Key Accounts/Vendors, and IT to ensure successful execution of promotional plans.Serve as subject matter expert for the Promotional Demand Planning function.Collaborate with the internal & external business partners to insure alignment between promotional forecast and execution.Identify Promotional Demand Planning system and process opportunities for improvement.Supports key projects, including, but not limited to customer moves/on-boardings, DC openings and seasonal planning.Leverage large sets of data from multiple sources to provide timely, meaningful, and actionable insights for the business around promotions.Continuous improvement mindset with a bias to action.Ability to provide the correct level of data/analysis and tailor messaging to both internal and external business partners.Supports the constrained item process to ensure customers get fair share of inventory during times of limited supply.Supports the Reduced Product Requirement process to effectively manage product need reductions.Supports the RPA and PowerApps processes that enable effective and efficient promotional demand processing.Applies problem solving and analytical skills to identify, communicate, and provide support to our customers.Demonstrates a strong ability to own objectives, overcome challenges and become a deeply knowledgeable expert in a target subject area. Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to draw conclusions and make recommendations from incomplete data sets.Effective communication skills and the ability to influence without direct reports.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills using advanced formulas, VLOOKUP’s, Pivot Tables, PowerPivot, Power Query, etc.Must be intellectually curious with a passion for learning new things.Must be a change agent and not change averse.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

BA/BS in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, Engineering or related field preferred.3-5 years of forecasting, demand planning, or sales analysis experience in a high SKU count, slow movement environment.Experience utilizing RPA and PowerApps in automating and making processes more efficient.Strong analytical skills with demonstrated success organizing, analyzing and accurately interpreting large amounts of data.
