Project Team Manager
MRC Global serves the oil and gas industry across the upstream, midstream and downstream sectors as well as the chemical and gas distribution market sectors worldwide. **Overview:** The Project Team Manager is responsible for effective team management, following set goals, facilitating strategy, approach, and developing relationships both internal and external with key MRC Global customer and vendors. **Key Duties & Responsibilities:** The Role’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to + Work with internal stakeholders to execute on strategies to set MRC Global up for success on each opportunity. The strategy should contribute to the overall set goals and sales plans. + Drive effective partnership with Branch/Regional operations; communicate to deepen understanding of customer business processes, buying procedures, and expectations for service. + Engage employees in understanding, ownership, and execution of timely response to order requests. + Monitor workflows throughout the department to ensure timely accomplishment of objectives. + Lead employees to anticipate and solve problems and plan for workload changes. + Understand the complexity of our customers’ multiple projects and strategically allocate the work to meet or exceed our customers’ needs. + Establish a collaborative and effective working relationship with customers, internal partners and stakeholders, and supply chain to strategically grow and develop project business. + Other duties as assigned. **Required Experience:** + Undergraduate degree preferred or related work experience that provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work. + Any combination of five or more years of industry or directly related experience. **Skills & Abilities:** + Above average or advanced computer skills. + Ability to develop knowledge of PVF materials and understand scope of services to include pricing, supply, and contract terms. + Demonstrated ability to communicate and promote ideas and transfer detailed knowledge to others in one-to-one or group situations. + Willingness and ability to travel as needed. **Working Conditions:** + Most work is performed at a desk or in front of a computer. + Able to sit/stand for long periods of time.
