Overview:

The Project Team Manager is responsible for effective team management, following set goals, facilitating strategy, approach, and developing relationships both internal and external with key MRC Global customer and vendors.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

The Role’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to

Work with internal stakeholders to execute on strategies to set MRC Global up for success on each opportunity. The strategy should contribute to the overall set goals and sales plans.

Drive effective partnership with Branch/Regional operations; communicate to deepen understanding of customer business processes, buying procedures, and expectations for service.

Engage employees in understanding, ownership, and execution of timely response to order requests.

Monitor workflows throughout the department to ensure timely accomplishment of objectives.

Lead employees to anticipate and solve problems and plan for workload changes.

Understand the complexity of our customers’ multiple projects and strategically allocate the work to meet or exceed our customers’ needs.

Establish a collaborative and effective working relationship with customers, internal partners and stakeholders, and supply chain to strategically grow and develop project business.

Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

Undergraduate degree preferred or related work experience that provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.

Any combination of five or more years of industry or directly related experience.

Skills & Abilities:

Above average or advanced computer skills.

Ability to develop knowledge of PVF materials and understand scope of services to include pricing, supply, and contract terms.

Demonstrated ability to communicate and promote ideas and transfer detailed knowledge to others in one-to-one or group situations.

Willingness and ability to travel as needed.

Working Conditions:

Most work is performed at a desk or in front of a computer. 

Able to sit/stand for long periods of time.
