Project Sourcing Manager - Metal Parts
Position Overview International Motors' Procurement team is seeking a Project Sourcing Manager, Metal Parts (Cab, Fuel and Air Tanks, and Battery Box) to join our team at our corporate headquarters located in Lisle, IL. This role is pivotal in our goal of providing new and innovative world class products to our customers. You'll be part of the Metal Parts team, responsible for executing strategic sourcing and cost reduction initiatives. This role presents a dynamic and challenging opportunity to make a significant impact on International Motors, LLC's success! Responsibilities Act as the key interface between R&D and procurement for source selection of new strategic parts Issue high-quality RFI, RFP, and RFQ’s in alignment with the category strategy Ability to understand technical requirements and how they drive total cost of ownership for assigned parts Analyze quotes for total cost of ownership including supplier quoted design and development costs where applicable Develop source recommendation for assigned parts, ensuring that the recommended source meets cost, quality, risk, technology, and sustainability requirements. Present recommendation for approval to International and Traton senior leadership as required Participate in design concept reviews and provide cost estimates in support of program target cost development Build and maintain relationship with cross functional team members and suppliers Interface with procurement teams from other brands within the TRATON family (MAN, Scania, VW Truck and Bus) to develop aligned sourcing strategies where applicable Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree At least 5 years of supply chain, engineering or manufacturing experience 1 year lead experience OR Master's degree At least 3 years of supply chain, engineering or manufacturing experience 1 year lead experience OR At least 8 years of supply chain, engineering or manufacturing experience 1 year lead experience Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. International Motors does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status) Desired Skills Engineering or technical degree preferred and strong understanding of sheet metal parts manufacturing (stamping, fabricating, welding, etc.) Basic negotiation skills with a strong willingness to learn and develop further Exceptional organizational skills, capable of prioritizing multiple projects, knowing when to reprioritize to meet specific deadlines Proficient in delivering presentations to senior leadership that convey source recommendations clearly and concisely Benefits and Compensation We provide a competitive total rewards package which ensures job satisfaction both on and off the job.
