We are looking to hire a mid-level professional with 3+ years of experience to work with the Transportation group in our Warwick, RI office.
Responsibilities:
Assist with preparation of various roadway engineering designs and tasks, such as site data collection; preparation of detailed roadway plans, ADA curb ramp design plans, grading, erosion control, drainage plans, cross-sections and profiles, general notes, dimensioning etc. Preparation of preliminary engineering/concept plans, permitting drawings used for submission to state and municipal clients, inland wetlands commissions etc. under the supervision of a Project Manager. Assist in preparation of contract bid documents, including plans, technical specifications, and construction quantity and cost estimates Prepare materials and attend project related meetings outside of the office with clients, agencies, and the public Maintain organized project filesRequired Experience:
Fundamentals of Engineering Certificate (EIT) BS in Civil Engineering 3+ years of relevant roadway/transportation experience with DOT, municipalities and/or private clients Experience using CADD (MicroStation/Open Roads and/or AutoCAD/Civil 3D) Knowledge and understanding of basic drainage design concepts General knowledge of bidding process Strong communication skills
