An exciting opportunity has arisen for 2 new roles, a Project Planning Professional and a lead Project Planning Professional to join Rolls-Royce Submarines in Derby, we’re a leader in propulsion system design and development for the Royal Navy’s nuclear submarine fleet and the sole provider and technical authority.
The Core Production Delivery Business Unit within the Rolls-Royce’s Submarines business is looking to recruit a Project Planning Professional to support the project team tasked with the development of onsite facilities.
The role will be working in the Site Capability team supporting projects that directly deliver capability, capacity and resilience within one of our Production Delivery Business Unit. This will include working closely with the Project Delivery Leads to ensure that the requirements are correctly captured, the correct project controls are in place and onwards management of progress of the work to delivery.

What you will be doing:
Accountable for the successful delivery to cost, specification and time for a defined package of work.Working with a Technical Integration Lead to co-ordinate work across the different DBUsCreate, facilitate & govern PM documents & artefacts.Report the status of assigned work in accordance with the requirements of the project. Manage and report variances to project baseline and report project Key Performance Indicators.Review project data, identify and report trends, highlight anomalies and propose corrective action if performance is outside specification.Ensure effective controls are implemented in accordance with the company management procedures to achieve the project success criteria. Accurate reporting to relevant stakeholders in accordance with the defined timescales. Facilitate and manage risk and opportunity activities.Who we’re looking for:

The role will involve dealing with customers and stakeholders at all levels and excellent communication skills are therefore a prerequisite.Attained APM Project Management Qualification or equivalent; or can demonstrate equivalent PM knowledge.Working towards membership of Association of Project Management (AMAPM or MAPM).Demonstrate good experience of working & delivering in cross functional teams.Proficient in Microsoft Office, experience of SAP and P6 preferable.We are an equal opportunities employer. To work for the Rolls-Royce Submarines Business an individual has to hold Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if the individual does not currently already have this in place.
Due to the nature of work the Business conducts and the protection of certain assets a person has to be a UK national or in MoD approved cases a Dual National from a non ITAR country.
