Role description:
We are looking for a Planning Engineer to join our Nuclear Consultancy business supporting some of the UK’s largest Nuclear work. The projects combine both new build and decommissioning within a structured collaborative environment working with colleagues who are focused on innovative solutions and teamwork where the focus is on delivery of programme outputs.
As part of our Programme and Project Management team, you’ll help deliver some of the biggest, most iconic projects imaginable, with some of the best talent around. With your energy, agility and a keen eye for detail, you’ll deliver transformational outcomes for multiple clients every day.

Role accountabilities:
Development of schedules for inclusion in the baseline and subsequent development of detailed project schedules to support project delivery. Manage and report on Critical Path Analysis Assess any Subcontractor’s programs as per NEC requirements Ensure baseline and detailed project schedules remain aligned and in compliance with company standards. Ensure all interdependencies between projects and programmes on a site are built into the schedule and the impact of these interdependencies are recorded and monitored on a regular basis Maintain baseline schedules through change control, reflecting additional / modified / deleted scope and ensuring that the schedule integrity is preserved throughout Maintain the Work Breakdown Structure in accordance with client processes Conduct full and detailed Schedule Performance Index & Schedule Variance analysis and subsequent root cause analysis, followed by provision of narrative, recommendations & recovery plans; Involvement in pre contract management and assessment work. Ensuring the integrity of baseline and progressed schedules.Additional responsibilities include willingness to travel to site / client office in Bridgwater and / or Bristol 2 days a week.
Qualifications & Experience:
Ideally you will have experience working within the Nuclear sector however individuals with experience working on public sector projects within a regulated environment (i.e. water, rail, aviation etc.) are encouraged to apply Demonstrable experience of working on NEC contracts, preferably options A, C & E Good understanding of Earned Value Management Good understanding of Critical Path Analysis Experienced on P6 Significant experience of schedule planning, forecasting and reportingWhy Arcadis?
