This role is responsible for managing and executing projects for the client Managing Schedule.
Responsibilities
· Drive and own quality of project plans, in terms of Schedule, Resources, Milestones Costs Actively participate in daily management, ensuring project plans and project execution are in line
· Work closely with Project and Delivery Manager to ensure plan is closely aligned to project progress
· Regularly liaise with Project Control Analyst to align planned work with financial forecast
· Proactively identify possible deviations from planned targets
· Close interaction with the PM, Unit/Site Finance Department and project controller
· Ensure weekly update of project plans
· Control and report on bookings to tasks, own Say-Do-Ratio for portfolio of projects and raise early warning should actuals differ from plan
· Drive required plan update requests driven by Resource Managers
· Participate in portfolio – wide initiatives to increase overall portfolio plan quality
· Accurate and timely development and issue of the Project Schedule(s).
· Integrating inputs from all areas, appropriate to the phase of the Project and in accordance with the Contract.
· Ensures Customer, and external, interfaces are integrated into the schedule.
· Work as part of the project team to obtain agreement of all involved parties (Functions, Business Units Activities etc.) to lock the plan and create the schedule baseline.
· Provides timely updates to the schedules based upon the input from all parties. Monitors the Project progress including interfaces, analyses deviations.
· Monitors the Critical (and near Critical) Path and manages the Project Float.
· Revise monitor and exercise configuration control of contract and project documents.
· Supports the PM by using the Project schedule for the proactive identification of risks and opportunities, Lessons Learnt and documentation.
· Conduct analysis to determine alternative courses of action or recovery on slipped schedules.
· Creation of accurate time related reporting (both internal and external).
· Guarantee data overtime consistency and adapt report content to practices of accelerating project maturity.
· Track project configuration and associated documentation such as recovery, archive and master documentation repository duties.
· Support continuous improvement activities where appropriate.
· Competent with Primavera project planning software, MS project and other similar planning tools.
Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum Qualifications / Skills
· Proven experience in performance of Project Scheduling accountabilities
· Coordinating the projects and their interdependencies, Excellent interpersonal skills are essential, Manage risk and issue. Lead review with Project stakeholder
· Ability to shoulder responsibility, achieve team goals and Devising strategies to overcome roadblocks in process to meet Project Vision and strategy
· Must be able to handle multiple projects or varying scope and magnitude
· Proficient in Primavera P6, MS Project and Microsoft Office Tools
· PMP / PSP / Prince 2 Certification
