What do you contribute?

In your new role as ‘Project Operation Officer’ you will strengthen our Metro project management team as part of the project core team, which will be deployed to Aurangabad, India. You will ensure the successful implementation of project guidelines and processes in Indian projects and support the head office in setting up the Indian project organisation. You will be responsible for the organisational and operational project management issues (for requirements management, technical change management, software management, configuration management, documentation management, test & verification management) and support the Project Manager Rolling Stock in the projects assigned to you. You will detail and implement the project management processes required by the customer contract and Rolling Stock (e.g. PMP) in consultation with the project manager. You will review work progress, identify and manage risks and opportunities for your sub-project and ensure that interfaces with cross-functional issues in your area of responsibility are coordinated. You take part in all PM milestone meetings for the project and in the risk/opportunity workshops for the project. You will plan staff development for the functions assigned to you and staffing for the project in the relevant areas of activity in consultation with the line/PMS function and Metro Headquarters.  

What do you bring along?

You have a bachelor's degree in engineering. In addition, you have several years of experience as a (partial) project manager in the rail vehicle industry or plant engineering. Ideally, you have a PM@Siemens certification (or comparable). You are experienced in liaising with international teams and communicating with internal and external stakeholders. You are business fluent in English. German language skills are a plus. You are ready for international business trips and a later delegation to India.
