Key Responsibilities:

Program Management and Evaluation

Coordinate and consult with Project Coordinator to ensure smooth running of education project activities at communities and schoolsOrganize public meetings at schools and communities for project activities awareness and meetingsProvide expertise where intervention, planning and implementation is required through training the communities, and children on the project aims and goalsCoordinate & mobilize the resources and requirements of the project activities.

Quality Assurance

Monitor and evaluate project objectives, make recommendations as appropriateDesign standard/protocols for training interventionsDevelop training materials to suite the local context, languageAssess and provide support to the community members & leaders through regular on-site supervisory and advisory visits to enhance communities’ competence

Representation & Networking

Develop and maintain excellent relationships with partners, local organizations and community groupsPromote discussions with community leaders to evaluate.

Documentation

Provide monthly statistical reports on-timeProvide monthly progress reports, assist in compilation of quarterly, biannual, annual and end of project report

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION/SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCEMinimum of Bachelor's degree or college qualification in EducationCertificate in primary teaching or community development background2-3 years’ experience in teaching or involve in education programExperience in community development as a backgroundExperience in project design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and report writingExperience in Community mobilization and leadership roleExperience in teachingSound knowledge in PNG education systems and programsAbility to commit and punctual to schedule activitiesResults oriented and meets datelineAbility to work independently.Good interpersonal skills and cross-cultural sensitivityBasic understanding of project management cycle principlesEffective in written and oral communication; able to speak and write with a high standard of English.Computer literateCommunication, advocacy & facilitation skills
