Job Description

A Project Manager in Core Services is responsible for planning and leading all phases of IS Strategic Projects of varying size, scope and complexity. These strategic projects support and enhance our mission to provide world class infrastructure to our operations. The Project Manager is responsible for providing visibility to management team members within and across all departments, keeping them informed of the project status, resource capacity, roadblocks, and risks. The Project Manager will direct the day-to-day activities of Analysts, Developers and other IS personnel for the duration of their involvement in a project.  A Project Manager will assume responsibility for successfully meeting the business requirements of simultaneous projects and will lead cross functional teams tackling complex problems

Qualifications7 to 12 years of IT experience with strong knowledge in Supply Chain / Logistics domainKnowledge on IT infrastructure will be an added advantage but not mandatory thoughCommunication of status and results with technical and non-technical audienceExcellent time management and follow up skillsExperience initiating, planning, and managing projectsAbility to form strong relationships and build a collaborative environment across IS DepartmentExperience on SAFe/Agile frameworkKnowledge on Logistics domain and DevOpsHands on experience on ADO or similar toolsExceptional organization skillsAbility to resolve open issues and manage risksExcellent leadership skills including facilitation, motivation, negotiation, and team buildingPMP certification or any equivalentSkilled at working both independently and with cross-functional teamsAbility to communicate effectively with a wide spectrum of peopleEffective at navigating ambiguity and helping diverse teams drive towards clarity and consensus

Major Responsibilities

Schedule and run effective project meetings and training.  This includes preparation, execution, and follow up (i.e., create agenda, facilitate a focused discussion, create, and publish meeting minutes, create and follow up on action items, and solicit feedback)Hold team accountable to deadlinesCreate and maintain project planProtect and raise visibility to other work that is impacting the project planPrepare and communicate regular updates on status to all project stakeholdersEscalate risks and discuss roadblocks with all project stakeholdersCoordinate consulting and training with external partiesRun and review project metricsMaintain a high-level understanding of the tasks that each member of the project team is working on.Promptly resolve issues and provide visibility to management team on action taken or if help is needed with a proposed solutionFacilitate task assignment for optimal usage of project resourcesIdentify and propose areas for improvement
