What you will do

In the role as Commodity Project Manager Purchasing, you will be a key player in the cross-functional product development process.
You will, in a pro-active way, plan, drive and follow up the Purchasing part of the development and secure the Purchasing deliverables on time (part securement) with agreed quality, cost, features and technology, sustainability and risk. You will have the responsibility to judge the maturity of the progress of the deliverables. You will be the interface to the Purchasing line organization and work closely together to secure purchasing strategies & objectives.

Supply Network Resiliency & Project Management (SNR&PM) Purchasing is a global organization within Group Trucks Purchasing(GTP), with holistic responsibility over the Product Project portfolio, Volume & Supplier Capacity Planning, Supplier Development and Crisis Management. We deliver customer value via End-to-End product evolution ownership & resilient supply network, and we enable the best Performance & Customer Success outcomes while fully coordinated with Group Trucks Technology and Group Trucks Operations and Volvo Brands within efficient governance structure.

As this job is a lot about cross functional collaboration it is important that you have excellent communication skills. For us this means that it is easy for you to connect with other people, build trust and to lead cross functional teams towards successful project deliverables.
We also believe that key competencies for this role includes being action orientated, having a strong business mindset and a drive for results. An attitude that everything is possible to solve in one way or another will also be useful.

We are looking for a senior candidate who has the ability to strengthen the cooperation, efficiency and synergies between Vehicle projects and GTP Line organization.

Competence & Experience

 

•    University degree in Engineering/technology and/or Business Administration
•    Experience from working in purchasing
•    Experience development processes, preferably within Automotive industry
•    Experience of Project management.
•    Knowledge of AGILE methodology.
•    Ability to cooperate and lead colleagues in a trustful manner.
•    Experience of handling large amount of data, analyze and to present via status reports e.g. Power BI. 
•    You have in general excellent IT skills and basic skills in our different systems e.g. SAP Ariba, SPOT
