Short Description:  The MI Department of Technology Management and Budget (DTMB) is requesting one Project Manager with PMO environment experience to lead and oversee all activities for multiple MDOS IT development projects as assigned.
Complete Description:  The MI Department of Technology Management and Budget (DTMB) is requesting one Project Manager to lead and oversee all activities for multiple MDOS IT development projects as assigned.  The resource selected for this contract must have experience working in a PMO environment. They will manage driver, vehicle, elections, and/or technology upgrade projects for DTMB.  This project manager is responsible for ensuring that the project adheres to State of Michigan standard methodologies including the State Unified Information Technology Environment (SUITE), Systems Engineering Methodology (SEM), and Project Management Methodology (PMM).
Position Description:• Project management• Knowledge of Project Management Tools (ie: Changepoint, Microsoft Project)• Able to perform training, mentoring and knowledge transfer to team members• Able to manage and oversee a large, long range or multiple complex project• Able to develop project documentation including project scope statements, cost estimates, human resource requirements, work plans, time schedules, risk plans and communication plans.• Able to assign work to project team member to meet project or program objectives.• Able to establish and monitor program or project priorities, objectives and procedures and be able to determine area objectives, targets of service and resource needs allocation.• Able to provide leadership and direction to the project team to ensure successful project completion• Able to develop and maintain records, prepare reports and compose correspondence relative to the work• Able to serve as a liaison between DTMB and MDOS PM and MDOS customers/users and vendors concerning requests, standards and other program and project matters.• Able to coordinate work activities by scheduling staff assignments, setting work priorities and directing the work of assigned employees (including contractual) in the development of new information technology systems and enhancements to existing systems.• Able to use State of Michigan standard methodologies such as the State Unified Information Technology Environment (SUITE), Systems Engineering Methodology (SEM) and Project Management Methodology (PMM) in the maintenance, development, enhancement and deployment of information technology systems.• Able to maintain awareness of emerging technologies and project management techniques• Able to manage application development/enhancement projects
