World Leader in Blood Glucose Monitoring, Abbott Diabetes Care designs, develops, and manufactures glucose monitoring systems for use in both home and hospital settings. We have a Centre of Excellence in Witney for the development and manufacture of electrodes and biosensors used by patients and healthcare professionals for the day-to-day management of diabetes. The site has been instrumental in the research, development and manufacture of the FreeStyle Libre Flash Glucose Monitoring System as well as exciting developments in the Libre family including FreeStyle Libre 2, FreeStyle Libre 3 and the Libre Sense system. We currently have an opportunity for a **Manufacturing Planning** **Project Manager** to join our team leading projects which improve both our planning function capabilities in line with industry best practice and our efficiency in supporting demand and customer needs.
In this role, you will take the lead in the management of Mfg. Planning projects from inception to delivery, including all stages of planning, monitoring, reporting and evaluation. Taking responsibility for building project teams as applicable, you will oversee stakeholder engagement, communications planning, risk mapping, and facilitate progression of project related activities. You will be a key member of cross functional projects which facilitate on market changes, and new product introduction, acting as the link with the planning team and advocating for alignment with planning best practices.
To be successful, you will be an experienced **Project Manager** with exposure of overseeing large project workstreams, ideally within a manufacturing or operations planning environment. You will bring proven ability in project management tools and techniques, ideally from a global or matrix organisation. A degree qualification is required, as is exposure to a regulated environment, and a PM qualification is advantageous, but not essential.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual who takes initiative and is able to work within a small team, but also interact on a wider business scale, leading and influencing where necessary. You will have experience of leading through change and ideally have experience of project management against the backdrop of transformational change. Knowledge of planning methodologies, ERP, Supply planning and IBP is advantageous but not essential. You will need to have excellent communication and time management skills, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing, and dynamic environment.
