This position will support federal project work for clients that require U.S. Citizenship.
As an Electrical Project Manager II, you will:
-Create project definitions, schedules, budgets and objectives for projects using lessons learned. Prepare detailed statements of work with associated work breakdown structures and gain concurrence and approval from internal and external stakeholders regarding various project aspects. Assesses potential project risk and outline risk mitigation solutions. Ensure adherence to company and project management policies, procedures, and practices.
-Manage project costs and ensure profitability. Identify, quantify, and communicate residual risk (time and cost). Create and review timely client billings with internal billing support. Ensure timely client payment and follow up on outstanding client invoices to obtain payment. Review and approves subcontractor/vendor invoices to ensure timely payment to outside resources.
-Perform ongoing review of project status. On an ongoing basis, monitor project risks; identify possible risks and recommend and implement risk mitigation solutions; escalating as appropriate. Manage project change using change management protocols; determine appropriate changes or alternate paths based upon performance and metrics. Work in conjunction with team members and internal and external stakeholders to manage changes to requirements and schedule of the project. Ensure proper review of project scope by safety managers and proper implementation of safety plans. Provide timely response to audit corrective actions identified by external or internal audits. Plan and conduct work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and application of standard engineering or construction techniques, procedures, and criteria. Provide guidance to drafters/designers, engineers, craft workers, other project team members, contractors or subcontractors.
-Develop and implement project resource plan and manage the staffing of assigned projects. Determine and coordinate the proper staffing within the project including identification of outside resources needed (subs/vendors) and ensure procurement processes are followed. Clearly communicate project deadlines, assignments and objectives to project team members. Assign work and provide direction to project staff with regard to timeliness and completion of project objectives. Coach project staff and provide feedback to staff and to project staff's supervisors on project performance; escalate any performance issues to appropriate management and human resources.
-Build, maintain and manage strong client relationships. Ensure client satisfaction by delivering quality, on-time project outcomes as a result of good planning and organizational skills; manage client expectations. Identify opportunities for change orders and repeat business through pre-eminent project execution and develop client relationships.
-Performs other duties as assigned.
