The Program Management Office (PMO) at STScI seeks a Project Manager I. PMO provides program and project management resources for internal efforts across the organization. (#0012724) _** 3+ years experience with project management methodologies Agile, Waterfall, etc. is_ **_required. **_**
**U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status is needed to meet ITAR requirements.**
**This position can support hybrid work** **with 2 days of onsite work and 3 days of work from home. Candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to our local market. (MD, DE, VA, PA, DC & WV).**
**The budgeted salary range for this role is $89,500 – 99,500 annually** . The posted salary range represents a general guideline. STScI considers various factors when determining base salary offers, such as internal pay equity, position scope and responsibilities, current market conditions, and the candidate's experience, skills and education.
Responsibilities include:
+ Lead or support cross-divisional projects.
+ Support proposals or contract modifications to STScl's core missions.
+ Provide project management support to development teams within STScl.
+ Establish and maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including project progress, changes, and concerns.
+ Develop full-scale project plans, schedules, and associated communications documents.
Qualifications:
+ 3+ years experience with project management methodologies Agile, Waterfall, etc. **required**
+ 3+ years of applicable experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Government contracts experience is desirable.
+ Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
+ Experience in leading projects that cross multiple subsystems or organizations.
+ Ability to lead effective teams of various sizes.
+ Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, and Jira preferred.
+ Ability to develop and maintain effective professional relationships and communication with team members, management, and stakeholders.
