Project Manager - Facilities Management - HMP Brixton
£50,000 per annum

Job objectives and responsibilities
· Be the go-to lead for all the projects at HMP Brixton, owning the requirements and management process throughout the full project life-cycle, from initiation through handover to live operation.
· Manage projects and minor works up to a valve of £1m.
· Work effectively with stakeholders, build as well as maintain relationships with the Prison, MoJ and Mities Sub-Contractors.
· Previous experience with the MoJ a Prison or projects in a facilities management environment would be an advantage.
· Strong communication and organisational and planning skills.
· Based within a commutable distance to HMP Brixton as this is a site based role.
· Degree or equivalent qualification in suitable construction/ facilities management/Project Manager or engineering discipline
· Work independently and as part of a team with strong IT skills, including experience of Word, Excel and Powerpoint, Viewpoint/4projects.
· This vacancy is subject to a 5 year checkable history and the strict vetting standards set by Her Majesty's Prison and Probation Service and Mitie. You will also need to provide full details of your employment history for the last 5 years as part of the security screening process for this role.
Main duties
· Responsible for ensuring H&S inductions and standards are achieved throughout all projects.
· Produce detailed project specifications for approval by the MoJ.
· Manage all projects so they are within time and financial constraints.
· Manage a structured and efficient programme of Projects.
· Provide accurate and detailed monthly reports to the Client.
· Manage the day-to-day project activities and resources.
· Effective management of issues and risks ensuring that options and solutions are provided and the impacts of decisions clearly articulated and understood by all parties.
· Set and continually manage project and program expectations while delegating and managing deliverable with sub-contractors and stakeholders
· Monitor, track, and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts and critical path deliverables.
· Manage ongoing quality control and participate in quality issue resolution.
· Allocate and manager Sub-Contractor escorting staff.
