ROLE OVERVIEW

PURPOSE OF JOB

The role is aligned and sits within JTC’s Group Finance Operations Department. This project is required to undertake and deliver a Banking & Treasury Review of JTC’s internal bank accounts, including a comprehensive reconciliation of these accounts across multiple jurisdictions.  

Ensuring that JTC adhere to the best of industry project management methodology and ensuring contribution, delivery, reporting and management is efficient and effective to enable better client and administration efficiencies and revenue opportunities across JTC group.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Identify the purpose of each account and the interest rates and service charges applied.Evaluate each accounts necessity and provide justification for closing those deemed unnecessary.Determine if the current use of each account aligns with JTC’s operational needs.Coordinate with banks to close accounts that are no longer required and assist with the opening of new accounts as needed, in alignment with JTC’s preferred banking relationships.Ensure all regulatory and procedural requirements are met.Coordinate with the Group Director and banks to explore ways to secure more favourable interest rates.Where appropriate, identify more cost-effective account options based on fees, interest rates and usage.Liaise with JTC offices and banks in multiple jurisdictions.To drive and/or contribute to multiple initiatives as directed.To manage a broad range of stakeholders (internal and external).To add value by identifying and helping to deliver opportunities for process improvement and deliverables.Adhere to Risk & Associate Compliance procedures in relation to regulatory requirements and AML legislation within jurisdictions.Adhere to JTC core values and guiding principles.Any other duties as deemed necessary by Management.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Previous Banking or Treasury experience advantageous.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work towards multiple priorities.Strong communicator.Project Management experience.
