The Opportunity
As a Project Manager you will be integrated into SA Water supporting a large portfolio of water and wastewater infrastructure programs. Influencing and collaborating amongst an extensive stakeholder group of construction partners, vendors, regulators and internal teams will be critical as you drive multiple projects to beneficial outcomes. Our collective goal is to deliver an efficient capital works program and infrastructure projects from inception to close out - safely, on time, within budget and to customer and community expectations.
As a key member of this team, you will be required to:
Lead multi-disciplinary project teams of internal and external subject matter experts and Delivery Partners (capable and committed team)
Ensure a portfolio of projects or programs are delivered safely, on time and in accordance with cost, technical, environmental, operational, and social requirements.
Contribute to the progress of design development, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases across several concurrent projects or programs through a variety of contractual models.
Contribute to the improvement of project and program management capabilities and systems
Identify improvements in processes or practices that show a benefit to themselves or the team.
Who are you?
To succeed in this opportunity, you will have experience managing projects in complex environments. This role is focused on electrical, HV, substations, switchboards and automation however we will consider all technical backgrounds. Client side or owners engineering would be ideal but not essential.
Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Project Management or relevant industry experience.
Demonstrated experience as a Project Manager, understanding scope, risk, scheduling, cost, and construction management is desirable
Demonstrated communication/reporting skills and experience in working with a broad range of stakeholders
Understanding of various delivery/contractual models and legislative WHS requirements
Good written and verbal communication skills with accuracy in reporting
