Project Manager Digital

About the role:

Barry Callebaut Digital (BCD) is on a mission to lead the digital revolution in the chocolate industry, and we're looking for a Project Manager Digital to support this transformative journey. Reporting directly to the Director of Program Management and Project Excellence, you will have the unique opportunity to shape our digital ways of working by managing project planning, conception, implementation, and tracking. You will ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the desired objectives by applying project management best practices throughout the project lifecycle. In addition, you will report project status to management and manage escalations. You will take on a vital role in the digital transformation of our organization by driving the delivery of our ambitious digital roadmap. Key responsibilities:

Manage digital projects with medium complexity (~ CHF <5M budget) including status reporting, budget and milestone tracking, risk mgmt., communication with stakeholders, PMO, etc. Directly report to the Director of Program Management and Project Excellence, ensuring alignment of projects with the overall digital strategy and contributing to the digital transformation roadmap. Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and relevant stakeholders. Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation. Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the successful execution of projects. Allocate resources effectively to ensure project success, balance team workloads and manage resource constraints. Manage escalations from programs and projects according to defined governance structures. Track project performance, prepare project documentation, and report to senior management on project status, risks, and issues. Identify potential risks and issues and develop risk mitigation plans. Monitor project risks and develop risk response strategies. Implement and oversee the quality assurance process on the project. Ensure compliance with BC standards, policies, and best practices. Manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs. Develop, implement, and refine project management methodologies, standards, and tools, incorporating project management best practices and industry trends. Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders. This is a global leadership role that equires up to 30% travel.

 

About you:

Graduate degree in IT/technology, business administration, project management, or a comparable field. Proficiency in English. Project Management certificates, e.g. PMP, PRINCE2 are a plus. Significant experience and deep understanding of digital project and program management incl. project management methodologies, frameworks, industry trends, and best practices. A minimum of 1-2 years of project management experience in relevant fields. SAP experience - strong background in SAP technologies and experience with integrating MDM tools in the SAP ecosystem. Master Data Governance - understanding of data quality, data governance, data stewardship/ how to establish data ownership and data quality rules Data Integration - knowledge of how to integrate data across multiple systems Data Architecture - understand how master data is structured and modelled  MDM Lifecycle Management - be familiar with e2e lifecycle of MD Good knowledge of project management solutions, e.g. Planview (formerly: Clarizen), Asana, JIRA, and Microsoft Project. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to bring people together and mobilize individuals to pursue a joint agenda. Skills to create internal and external partnerships/networks across the organization. Demonstrates the ability to analyze complex situations, identify critical issues, and make bold, strategic decisions to drive progress. Collaborates well across diverse and globally distributed teams, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships across different levels and functions of the organization.
