POWER Engineers is seeking a full-time Project Manager (Commercial) to work within the Project Delivery Department in our Salt Lake City, Utah region. In this role you will review and analyze contractual requirements, including in project agreements, and subcontracts. You will provide guidance regarding contract interpretation issues and advise on alternative approaches to mitigate risk. You will lead the reviewing of contractor payments and change orders, monitor POWER Engineers forecast. You will also build and maintain effective working relationships with internal clients and other stakeholders. Lead the maintaining of contract files, including database entry, and managing hard and electronic files as needed. You will have working knowledge of construction core services, including estimation, procurement, cost planning and more.
Roles and Responsibilities:Ensuring alignment of the procurement packages with the project budget and scheduleManaging all aspects of contract administration for the project, from pre-qualification to close-out of sub-contracts and record retentionReviewing, develop and monitor prime contract flow-downs into project-specific requirementsCollate weekly progress reports and produce schedule of completed works, assist in the contractor progress paymentsMonitor progress of the work against agreed schedulesSupporting change order and claims review, including review and recommendation of entitlements in accordance with the contractual terms and conditionsLeading change management, estimating impacts of changes and contingency drawdownLeading client account management, monthly invoicing, purchase order management and reviewing contractual termsLeading the development and maintenance of budgets and tracking project costs throughout the life of projects including work in progressPreparing monthly cost reporting and budget reconciliation, including earn value managementParticipating in industry benchmarking of project metricsLeading and providing cost forecasting and cost control, managing contingencies and reporting to stakeholdersMaintaining effective communication to ensure all information is available for the successful completion of projects; liaising with other managers to ensure efficient financial controlDelivering all work outputs in an accurate and timely mannerRepresenting the company in a professional and diligent manner; meeting, negotiating and corresponding with clients to form strong working relationships Required Education/Experience:Bachelor’s degree in applicable field10+ years’ experience in the contracting/legal field or equivalent is preferredCreativity and initiative; ability to identify problems and/or inefficiencies and independently offer/implement practical solutionsExcellent organizational and leadership skillsAbility to focus on details while working in a fast-paced environmentAbility to prioritize and multi-task while working under tight deadlinesExcellent oral and written communications skills and the ability to effectively interact at all levels of the organization and with external clients of the companySkilled in Microsoft Office Suite software such as Word, Excel and OutlookPMP is a plusExperience in the engineering or construction environment is a plusAt POWER Engineers, you can have a rewarding career on every level.
