Project Manager/Business Analyst
Description Hyatt is seeking to add a Business Analyst with Agile/Scrum experience that can also support in managing projects across cross-functional portfolio within our Marketing and Technology team. The Business Analyst position will embed with the MarTech portfolio product teams and support them in facilitating daily meetings, Agile rituals, managing backlog activities, documentation of processes and product training materials. This position will split time providing business and requirement analysis as well as tracking delivery of work across the portfolio in support of our Marketing Technology work. The Business Analyst will have two major components: 1) Establishing requirements and business process documentation 2) participating with project leadership to influence process, culture and system transformation and delivery. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Perform and participate in the analysis, configuration, process improvement, development, and implementation of eCommerce, AI, Personalization and/or Marketing systems for desktop and mobile applications. • Ensure that dependencies for projects and other product work are appropriately tracked and coordinated across product teams within the portfolio • Work with respective Product Managers to capture business requirements, create business cases, and create functional specifications documentation to aid in the facilitation of product delivery and onboarding • Conduct analysis of system specifications, functional specifications, and configuration. • Help Develop appropriate product and technical documentation • Aid in the creation of documentation of processes and training materials EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: • 5+ years combined technical and functional business experience. • 2+ years of recent BA work with web/software development experience in an Agile/Scrum environment. • Familiarity with Jira and Confluence. • Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively interact with software developers and system administrators. • Must promote a high level of collaboration and teamwork with the project team and other digital teams within an Agile/Scrum environment. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Experience in business analysis on large complex projects or varying project types. • Demonstrate knowledge of Agile Methodologies including the writing of User Stories, involvement in SCRUM/KANBAN/LEAN, and project planning at a sprint and iteration level. • Ability to translate complex concepts between business customers and technical project team. • Experience in eliciting, documenting and managing requirements over the Life Cycle. • Team members are expected to contribute with minimal supervision and be self-motivated. PREFERRED SKILLS: • Experience using common project management tools • Experience with standard Scrum/Agile processes and rituals • Experience organizing and coordinating cross-functional team work. • Experience with technical documentation EDUCATION: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or Information Systems; MS or MBA a plus.
