The Wits ICT s Project Delivery Office (PDO) invites suitably qualified applicants for the position of Project Manager. The main purpose of the job is to manage projects in the Wits ICT portfolio using the prescribed methodology and organisational guidelines. The project manager must ensure that projects are delivered effectively and efficiently according to agreed-upon expectations, and within identified constraints and tolerances set for the projects. The project manager is also expected to manage expectations of the identified stakeholders for the project. Furthermore, it is possible for the project manager to manage more than one project at a time.Brief DescriptionKey Responsibilities:

Requirements:
Qualification - An appropriate degree with a significant computing component or equivalent. Project management certification in either Prince2 or PMBOK or equivalent. Experience Minimum three (3) years Project Management experience in an ICT environment. Two (2) years project administration experience. Experience with working in an IT environment, either support, administration, infrastructure, development, security, testing, design or analysis three (3) years or more. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Technical Competencies:
Time scheduling, working with Gantt charts, baselining and updating time schedules with actual progress. Basic understanding of requirements engineering, documentation and analysis. Eliciting, capturing and monitoring project risks. Exposure to various project management software tools. Exposure to project management standards and processes. Good presentation skills.
Knowledge, Skills, Behaviours:
Communication skills. Balanced emotional quotient (EQ). Deadline driven Customer orientated
Preferences: Change Management experience in a diverse stakeholder environment will be an added advantage.
