Project Manager Accounting, Compliance and Reporting - EY Global Delivery Services

SUMMARY:

This PMO will support the fundamental transformation and growth agenda of GDS Finance (ACR) from an organizational, technological, process, global connectivity, and engagement (KPI) tracking and optimization perspective. Project Managers will be responsible for tracking and monitoring of the projects or workstreams.  These individuals are detailed orientated and specialize in breaking down and estimating the work associated with the project.  They track, monitor and drive closure to associated project risks and issues.  Project Managers own compiling of and the facilitation/read out of the status reports and project plans. Also, they define and ensure that the project’s critical path and work break down structure is being monitored and adhered to.  They own the change control process and document any changes to the scope of the project and the relevant impacts that these changes have.  The project’s budget vs. actuals are compiled by this individual. Decisions, dependencies and action items are also documented and tracked by the project manager.  They are experienced and hands on with tools such as Microsoft Project and Project Server as well as sharepoint.  They are consistently bringing to the attention of the team and their project sponsor any risk or issues that could impede the projects scope, schedule or budget.

 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manages project financials / Overall tracking of the projects plan, financials, risks, issues, dependencies, decisions and action items.  Tracks, monitors and manages resource and capacity management conflicts and demands.   Track and monitoring team chargeability developing tools that allow to better track the information: Support and monitoring people scheduling time vs actuals, document variances.. Oversees the maintenance of tools and drives the infusion of technology into our engagements in close cooperation with our Technology group.. Supports the location optimization of the engagement delivery and leads possible transition planning and executions. Support on annual performance team process as well as Defines Roles and Responsibilities: Support on coordinating people developing skis in different areas: Monitor closely quality performance of the team and application on engagement. Facilitate weekly status meetings to review status, key decisions, impediments, dependencies, and critical path milestones.  Put in place mitigation plans for key impediments based on topics above

Excellent communication skills and interpersonal/team effectiveness – ability to succinctly and accurately communicate to various levels of management and employees Exceptional analytical, planning, organization, and time management skills to effectively execute project plans and budgets Clear understanding of the roles and responsibilities of cross- functional project teams and functional management Exceptional project management skills and hands on expertise with tools such as sharepoint and project server Business acumen; ability to think from an overall “best for the business” perspective Demonstrates initiative; results oriented Excellent decision making skills – ability to negotiate and balance decisions and manage competing priorities across multiple functional areas

 

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

 

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Business, or related field

 

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:

6-8+ years of experience leading large, complex projects

 

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

Project manager experience Experience managing cross functional initiatives
