Project Manager
**Responsibilities & Qualifications** **RESPONSIBILITIES** + Planning, directing, and managing IT projects/operations for multiple projects + Responsible for running project sites and all tasks/deliverables related. + Provide working oversight and direction for employees working project + Plan, Coordinate, Schedule, participate, and execute calls. Internal & Customer + Reports directly to Program manager and deputy. + Managing customer and leadership expectations + Creation, tracking and taking action as needed for contract deliverables, to include schedule + Logistical coordination, planning, & tracking of hardware, software, and personnel + Ability for oral and written communication with the highest levels of management; + Knowledge of IP and optical network operation. + Knowledge of networking and network-based software applications. + Execute and monitor project activities. + Manage changes to scope, cost and schedule of project work. + Coordinate priorities and resources between multiple projects. + Prepare and update project plans and status reports. + Provide updates and conduct operational meetings as in routine with customer and team leads. + Facilitate sessions to effectively resolve issues. + Allocate appropriate resources to ensure projects are completed within given time and budget. + Report status develop project-related documentation and implement lessons learned. + Participate in project & personnel performance review meetings and discussions. + Develop and present meeting materials such as PowerPoint presentations, schedules, diagrams etc to customers + Must be flexible to work semi shift work/non-standard hours + Able to travel to remote sites for durations of installations as needed **REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS** + 3+ years’ experience working with Veterans Affairs + Excellent communication skills + Experience with Microsoft Office & Project + Experience working in hospital environments + Experience with large/complex nationwide projects + Must have or be able to pass the Veterans Administration Background Investigation + Must reside within the continental United States + Must be a U.S. Citizen **CERTIFICATIONS** PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications (preferred) **Overview** We are seeking a **Project Manager** to join our LAN IRP team supportingDepartment of Veteran Affairs.
