GuatemalaThe Project Manager’s responsibilities focus primarily on the planning, execution, and finalization of projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. The scope of work
requires management of multiple projects simultaneously with close attention to schedule commitments and milestone dates. The PM will create and lead cross-functional teams pertaining to the entire product development and launch cycle. The Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.

Directs and manages project development from beginning to end
Defines project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior
management and stakeholders
Develops full-scale project plans and associated communications documents
Effectively communicates project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
Estimates the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals
Where required, negotiates with other department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from
within the company
Determines and assesses need for additional staff and/or consultants and makes the appropriate recruitments if
necessary, during project cycle
Sets and continually manages project expectations with team members and other stakeholders
Delegates tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel
Identifies and resolves issues and conflicts within the project team
Identifies and manages project dependencies and critical path
Plans and schedules project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
Tracks project milestones and deliverables
Develops and delivers progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations
Determines the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results and
troubleshoots problem areas
Proactively manages changes in project scope, identify potential crises and devises contingency plans
Defines project success criteria and disseminates them to involved parties throughout project life cycle
Coaches, mentors, motivates, and supervises project team members and contractors and influences them to
take positive action and accountability for their assigned work
Builds, develops, and grows any business relationships vital to the success of the project
Conducts project post-mortems and creates a recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful
project elements
Develops best practices and tools for project execution and management
Requirements & Competencies
4 years of direct work experience in a project management capacity for infrastructure
projects, including all aspects of process development and execution
Education Bachelor’s degree or 4 years equivalent work experience
PMI Certification preferred
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial
Demonstrated knowledge of project planning and management skills, including development of metrics, goals and follow up reporting
Demonstrated ability to work independently and/or on a team and meet deadlines
Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Demonstrated time management and organizational skills
Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products
Ability to learn, understand and apply new technologies
Demonstrated knowledge of various software packages such as Microsoft Office
Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail and accuracy and time management and organizational skills
Highly proficient in the use of MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Proficiency with project management software such as Microsoft Project
