Job Description
We are looking for a Project Manager to join our team in Calgary. You will be responsible for overseeing 6-10 projects at a time, each ranging between $100k-$150k in engineering costs. Projects typically run for 3-6 months on average and involve no construction management.
ResponsibilitiesUnderstand the usage and practical applications of our solutions applicable to the client being served.Lead the planning and implementation of projects.Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables.Define project tasks and resource requirements.Prepare and update contractual documents and project plans.Plan and schedule project timelines.Write DBMs, PEPs, and scope of work.Manage project budgets.Develop capital cost and monitor estimates.Review all costs, management, and expense reports associated with project operations and take steps for effective cost control.Maintain project-specific procedures for accounting and administration, in accordance with company procedures.Plan staffing resources, assembling and coordinating project staff.Coordinate all work, monitoring job progress including the performance of subcontractors.Track and report team hours and expenses on a weekly basis.Provide direction and support to the project team.Manage all project administration aspects to ensure contractual obligations are met.Identify risk exposure and implement risk mitigation measures.Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.Maintain compliance with Quality Assurance standards.Effectively apply and enforce project standards.Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.Track project deliverables using appropriate tools.Create and execute project work plans and revisions as needed to meet changing needs and client requirements.Constantly monitor and report on project progress to stakeholders, ensuring project objectives are met.Present reports defining project progress, problems, and solutions.Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.Cultivate and maintain active, harmonious communications with all local authorities, General Contractors, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.Assist in identifying and hiring talent to build the team as required.Display clear and effective verbal and written communication skills during interactions with clients, management, and team members.Lead and motivate staff to achieve corporate objectives.Essential Skills10+ years as a project manager overseeing multidiscipline projects.Background in Engineering or CET.Proficiency in MS Projects.Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Excel.Excellent communication skills.Proven experience in people management.Work Environment
In-office Monday to Friday in Calgary, with occasional site travel. Most sites are within Alberta driving distance from Calgary or Edmonton.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $80.00 - $95.00/hr.
