**A Brief Overview**
Responsible for leading and driving cross-functional teams through the successful completion of medium to large complexity projects across the Avera organization. Projects may involve several technical or operational teams, include repeatable processes or team members, and/or be a standardized rollout of new software, operational process, or vendor based system implementation. Project Manager may also grow their experience by managing a subset of high impact/high value level project(s) or tasks under the direction of another Project Manager. Project Manager is expected to utilize established and formal project management methodology and Avera Organizational Excellence and Project Management-defined best practices to drive project activities and results within a supportive and collaborative team environment.
**What you will do**
+ Manage multiple projects, concurrent tasks and teams with competing priorities to successful completion.
+ Lead medium to large teams of end users and leaders from areas such as IT, vendors/contractors, physician leaders, operational support departments, hospital facilities or clinics, etc. through the project.
+ Responsible for applying appropriate project methodology and level of rigor needed for medium to large complexity projects.
+ Utilizing standard department project artifacts and lifecycle processes throughout the project (examples include but not limited to scope definition, project plans, communication plan, understand organizational and stakeholder impacts, establish milestone timelines, project schedules, identify critical path to manage deadlines and escalation, go live plan, and close activities to ensure seamless transition of operation to long term technical support process).
+ Monitor project activities to uncover and understand risks.
+ Drive mitigation strategies or facilitate the resolution or escalation of project risks as needed to Organizational Excellence leaders, vendors, operational leaders, or project’s steering committee.
+ Prepare scorecard or executive style presentations, status reports, and adapts project communications to stakeholder needs.
+ Delegate and provide oversight of all project management tasks to Project Associate or PM1.
+ Monitor the successful completion of those tasks while representing and maintaining overall responsibility for project management tasks.
**Essential Qualifications**

**Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:**
+ 1-3 years of working experience as a Project Manager or relevant experience leading multiple project teams and incorporating the PMBOK and the application of that framework within a project or within project lifecycle practices.
+ 1-3 years Experience in leading teams, managing stakeholders, communicating with leadership level stakeholders, coordination or management of tasks in a matrixed environment.
+ 1-3 years Experience managing project sponsors, stakeholders, team, and vendors in a matrixed environment
**Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:**
+ Bachelor's
+ Project Management Professional (PMP) - Project Management Institute (PMI) Upon Hire
