Project Manager
Capita is looking for a Project Manager to join their team in Glasgow.

The role of the Project Manager is to lead / manage the project and the project team on a day-to-day basis. The Project Manager is responsible for driving and overseeing the delivery of the project to ensure that the objectives are clearly defined and achieved within the agreed time, cost and quality constraints. The Project Manager has a key role in project governance and working with stakeholders, to ensure the agreed project outputs are delivered to enable benefits to be realised.

The role is full time field based initially in Glasgow, but should the need arise working away from home may be required.

What you'll be doing:

Responsible for managing the implementation on site of a pre agreed design of client buildings

Day to day management of operations, ensuring that the project is brought to a successful completion and meets the required time, budget and quality constraints.

Ensure that all project work complies with building and security regulations and health and safety legislation as well as other legal requirements.

Ensure timely management of any unforeseen delays.

Due to the secure nature of the sites, the project manager is responsible for ensuring all staff and visitors are security cleared and the site is aware of all changes. This will be done by liaising directly with the end client or the security department.

Organise and chair weekly review meetings with Electranet project team.

Prepare baseline management products, in conjunction with any project assurance roles, and agree them with the Lead or Senior Project Manager:

Prepare, submit and gain approval of detailed low level designs in a timely manner

What we’re looking for:

Minimum of 5 years experience working within the telecommunication environment as a Project Manager, and experience as an Engineer

Excellent knowledge of Structured Cabling Installation Cat6A, multi-mode and single-mode cabling

Excellent knowledge of cabling containment systems

An understanding of Equipment Room construction and electrical and mechanical installation

Excellent communication skills

Excellent IT skills to include the MS suite of products and MS Project

Excellent financial budget control
