In this role, you will be a part of the Land Development Team in EXP’s Calgary office. We are currently currently looking for a Project Manager to join their team. The successful applicant will be joining a diverse engineering group in Western Canada poised for growth and challenging opportunities well into the future. This is a full time position reporting to the Manager, Land Development.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
Responsible as main client contact for Land Development Projects assigned and responsible in managing project execution through completion Manage existing and develop new client relationships Work with clients and project teams to meet scheduled project milestones and deliverables Coordinate with other disciplines (Geotechnical, Environmental, Transportation, Legal) as required Provide detailed engineering design oversight and input on the design process for key complex projects, including providing support to Project Engineers and other design team members as required Liaise with clients, municipal approving authorities and contractors, as required Review, sign and seal reports/drawings as required Review project designs, specifications, and contract documents. Monitor project schedule and budgets within your area of responsibility and report the status as required on a regular basis Pursue the obtaining of all necessary approvals and permits for projects, including those from municipalities and provincial (Alberta) agencies Have working knowledge/understanding of AutoCAD Civil 3D Participate in business development efforts including writing and pricing proposal efforts, securing new projects/clients, as needed Lead a team of design and field staff, including directing, coordinating, and reviewing work done by staff Ensure health and safety policies are adhered to at all sites and report to Manager and Joint Health and Safety Committee Members
What your experience looks like
5 to 10 years of experience in the Land Development industry, with a focus on land development projects Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) or Technologist, or eligible for registration Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills Fully conversant with Microsoft software applications Strong detail orientation Organized, works well under pressure and able to deal with situations with tact A valid driver's license and vehicle is required Demonstrated ability to perform individually or as a member of project teams Ability to multi-task is critical, must enjoy meeting deadlines Customer service orientation is critical
