Your role and responsibilities
•\tLeads the project team, establishes the project execution approach, and oversees the management of project resources, finances, schedule, and scope. Ensures effective project hand-over, execution planning, and monitoring and control activities for internal and external resources to accomplish all project goals. Defines project plan documents in relation to scope, budget, schedule and risk management.•\tOversees project implementation in terms of scope, costs, schedule, resources, risk management and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE).•\tEnsures that the project follows execution best practices and ABB policies.•\tMonitors and controls project progress, resource utilization, project financials, invoicing status, cost, expenses, revenues and cash flow.•\tProactively identifies, qualifies, quantifies and manages/mitigates project risks, as well as ensures all improvement opportunities are identified and pursued.•\tManages all aspects of Project Change Orders•\tSupports Procurement and Logistics in supplier negotiations, claims, and project changes.•\tBuilds and maintains strong relationships with stakeholders through effective communication and collaboration.•\tActs as key contact for the customer and builds, maintains and enhances customer relationship by providing excellent service at all stages of the project.•\tManages the project according to agreed requirements, ensuring that all targets are met, and that relevant guidelines are followed.•\tMonitors and controls project financials, overseeing project invoicing status, costs, expenses, revenue, and cash flow.•\tDrives the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out and acknowledgement by the customer.•\tFollows PMO processes throughout project management phases and applies ABB execution tools and reporting guidelines.•\tEnsures that the project consistently applies contract and claims management in accordance with ABB policies and contractual agreements.•\tCaptures, analyzes, and shares lessons learned throughout the project.•\tGuides, coaches and develops the skills and knowledge of the project team.•\tSupports local Sales and Tendering through early involvement in tenders.•\tIs involved in continuous improvement of Project Management processes, tools, and templates.•\tEnsures compliance with relevant cybersecurity regulations, standards, and contractual requirements.
Qualifications for the role8 years of experience in project management dealing with medium complexity electrification projectsDemonstrated experience in management of project scope, financials, schedules, customers, vendors/subcontractors with strong, well-developed communication, influencing and coaching skills.Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar with sound knowledge of electrical distribution systems – Low/Med Voltage AC SwitchGear, MCCs, Transformer, Rectifiers and SwitchboardsKnowledge of SAP, MS Projects, MS Office applicationsPMP certification is an assetStrong verbal and written communication skill - French & EnglishEnglish is required as this position will service internal and external clients from other provinces.
