Responsibilities

Berkley Aspire is seeking a Project Manager - this role can be located in any of our offices -  Scottsdale AZ, West Chester OH, or Glen Allen VA on a hybrid schedule.

 

The Project Manager's responsibilities include the coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope, overseeing all aspects of projects. In addition, you will set deadlines, assign responsibilities, monitor and summarize progress of project, and prepare reports for upper management regarding status of project. 

We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, a self-starter, organized, and has a positive outlook, along with a natural drive to grow, problem solve and think outside the box.

A successful candidate will have strong collaboration skills to work with all levels of the company and the ability to handle multiple assignments within a professional working environment. Must possess a sense of ownership and be accountable for their work.

 

Projects include our transition to new tech platforms, increased alignment with other WRB operating units, improved efficiency in our processes, an array of areas in need of attention as a result of Aspire’s rapid growth over the last few years.  This person will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful and smooth implementation of new capabilities.

 

Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects.Develop a deep understanding of the business needs around each projectWork proactively across the Aspire to uncover areas of potential improvement and offer potential solutions.Develop relationships and network internally through a consistent effort to add value, be dependable, accountable and to solve problems. Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility. Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.Ensure resource availability and allocation.Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.Continuously monitors and notes risks and issues as they arise and elevates them to management. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.PMP designation preferred.3+ years of insurance industry experience required. Excess and Surplus lines background helpful.Underwriting experience beneficial.Prior project management experience preferred.
