Project Manager

Arcadis is seeking a Project Manager to support a large program in New York.

Role description:

As a Project Manager your primary responsibility is to oversee and optimize the technical and financial aspects of design and construction operations. You will play a crucial role in managing costs, analyzing financial data, contracts, schedules, monthly reports and implementing strategies to ensure efficient and cost-effective project construction delivery.

Role accountabilities:

Provide compliance oversight of contractual responsibilities, contract documents, issue resolution, and change orders. Provide compliance oversight of safety, planning, scheduling, budgets, procurement, change orders, subcontract negotiations. Review and process reports, payments, schedules and changes to the contract. Provide oversight of package design and construction integration with adjacent delivery packages. Work cooperatively with Program Leadership, SMEs and Support/Service Teams. Work closely with office leadership to manage team resource plans and ensure staff utilization; Demonstrate experience in all aspects of civil and site engineering including the integration of geotechnical and environmental engineering; Knowledge of local, County and State land use entitlement processes and regulations. Familiarity with New Jersey land use processes a plus; Site/civil and bridge/rail experience including the ability to provide oversight on design and construction issues including site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, erosion and sediment control, etc. from concept through completion; Conduct regular site visits. Work with Program PIO and Community Outreach teams, Planning Board, etc. as necessary. 

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or similar; Possess valid Professional Engineer or similar licensure  15+ years’ experience on mega programs in related site/civil/ land development engineering; Experience in report and proposal writing; Strong client development and client management abilities; Proficiency of AutoCAD or Civil 3D (preferred) with the ability to review site, structure and infrastructure layouts from concept through completion; Active participation in professional organizations;

Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
