Overview:

We are looking to hire a Project Manager. Shipyard repair experience and/or Navy experience preferred. CVN experience is required for this one.

Description:

The Project Managers are responsible for the management of multiple work items from the time the Project is being developed during the Planning Phase up until the final milestone is met, the availability is complete, and the ship is successfully delivered back to the customer.The Project Managers will perform in a professional position requiring in-depth knowledge of both Combatant and Non-Combatant vessels.Within defined objectives, the Project Manager is responsible for managing multiple complex work items, providing status on work item schedule and cost impacts.They are responsible for coordinating multiple subcontractors and organic trade activities to ensure schedule objectives are accomplished. Project Managers perform as a representative of our client and act as the point of contact for assigned work items to their customers.

Qualifications:

3+ years of relevant experience as a PM, Superintendent, or Foreman within the marine industry.Preferred shipboard repair experience within a Public or Private shipyard (Prior military experience with the US Navy in an engineering or directly related field would qualify).Prior CVN experience. Experience managing technical personnel within complex activities or shipboard availabilities is preferred.Must have experience in using Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, Excel, Word and Power Point while being able to navigate in the computer server environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated ability/experience equivalent to managing complex work plans and directing multiple subcontractors and personnel as needed.
