Work Location:    Carrollton, TX or Novi, MI.

 

   

 

POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Vice President of Sales & Services, the role of Project Manager is ensuring the effective development and delivery of airport proposals, projects and customer solutions. This role will take the lead on coordinating mechanical, electrical and software projects as well as any subcontractors to propose and commission customer solutions to some of the world's largest airports and manufacturing facilities.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Ensure the health and safety of all team members and coworkers with whom a Project Manager would interact daily.Directly oversee team member competencies as it relates to project success and customer satisfaction while also maintaining the projects budget.Assist in developing project plans, assigning roles with responsibilities, and developing the scope of work for each project with input from coworkers.Establish procedure to ensure easy and complete communication to the customer, project team and all others involved (written and oral).Supports the information gathering, compilation, and submittal of proposals across two departments –Technical Services and Aftermarket Services – with mechanical, electrical, and controls competencies.Establish a detailed schedule, establish priorities, and identify lead times.Work within stringent time frames to meet proposal deadlines, and that the document is well organized and professionally presented.Lead small teams in support of Operations & Maintenance (O&M) activities and supports their customers coast-to-coast.Ability to identify client priorities and cultivate relationships with key client decision makers.Partially responsible for establishing and retaining customer relationships.Promote training and education of all Daifuku and customer policies, procedures, and requirements.Motivate team members to promote trust, challenge the status quo, and deliver service excellence.Assess priorities, develop recommendations, and document for review with your coworkers and leadership.Create recommendations to eliminate waste, and drive efficiency to improve operational service levels.Expedite support and resolution of challenges by actively monitoring progress through regular discussions and site visits.Maintain a valid driver’s license and be insurable under ELS insurance policy.Perform additional duties/assignments as may be required by senior leadership. Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.5+ years experience in project management.5+ years experience with the proposal processExpert written and verbal competencies

 

 

 


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master’s degree or equivalent work experience.5+ years experience in leadership and support.Strong knowledge of Daifuku policies, procedures, and stakeholders.Strong knowledge of activities within customer environment.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

Highly skilled in Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.Proficient in CMMS based applications.

• Daifuku site environments, including but not limited to airport ramp surfaces, BHS systems, GSE shops, and E-Commerce distribution centers.
